Founded by Africa Daley-Clarke, we curate, design and sell clothing and everyday objects chosen for their usefulness, materials, construction and longevity. We believe in buying well, using things fully and keeping what serves us. Useful things earn their place through use.
yard CLOTH is our in-house design label. It began with a personal need: a light, protective shell for life on the coast, made from natural fibres and designed for everyday use.
Unable to find quite what she was looking for, Africa set out to make it herself. Today, yard CLOTH continues that approach through practical, considered pieces designed to be worn, used and kept.
Across both Yard Store and yard CLOTH, we value good materials, thoughtful design and things made to last. We aim to make considered choices about how our products are made, sourced and packaged, with the belief that the things we bring into our lives should earn their place there.
