Description
A useful household staple with a place in both the cleaning cupboard and kitchen. Food-grade citric acid is a naturally occurring acid often used for descaling kettles, coffee machines and taps, helping to remove limescale build-up without the strong smell of vinegar.
Dissolved in warm water, it can be used throughout the home wherever mineral deposits tend to gather. Once I’ve finished descaling the kettle, I often pour the solution into the toilet bowl and leave it to sit before flushing -a simple way to tackle limescale in two places at once.
Suitable for cleaning, cooking, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and general use as a pH regulator.
