Description
A household staple that has earned a permanent place in my laundry cupboard. I first started buying Percarbonate of Soda from my friend Bunmi Scott when she ran a refill store, and I’ve rarely been without it since. Tea stains, grass stains and the occasional chocolate ice lolly mishap are no cause for concern when there’s a jar of this to hand.
Also known as oxygen bleach, Percarbonate of Soda is a biodegradable alternative to chlorine bleach. When dissolved in hot water, it releases oxygen that helps lift stains, brighten fabrics and freshen laundry. It breaks down into oxygen, water and sodium carbonate, leaving no harsh residues behind.
Useful throughout the home, it can be added to laundry, used as a pre-soak for stubborn stains, or dissolved in hot water for cleaning sinks, baths, toilets and drains.
How to Use
- Add 1–2 tablespoons to warm or hot laundry loads alongside your usual detergent
- For stubborn stains, dissolve in hot water and soak garments before washing
- Dissolve in hot water for household cleaning and bathroom use
Please Note
Percarbonate of Soda needs hot water to activate effectively. For best results, dissolve in freshly boiled water or water above 50°C before use.
