Description
A traditional olive oil soap from Nablus, Palestine, produced by the historic Al-Shakaa soap works. Recognisable by its camel stamp, Al-Jamal is one of the best-known soaps to come out of the city and remains a mainstay of the Nablus soap trade.
Made using just olive oil, water and sodium hydroxide, the soap is cooked, poured, cut, stamped and cured using methods that have been practised for generations. After cutting, the bars are stacked in distinctive drying towers and left to cure naturally before being wrapped.
Free from fragrance, colourants and unnecessary additives, it is valued for its simplicity and versatility. Suitable for everyday washing, it remains a fixture in homes across Palestine and beyond.
Each bar carries the distinctive camel mark and is wrapped in the brand’s traditional paper packaging.
