Why Natural Fibres

Natural fibres work quietly and effectively — warming, breathing and protecting without the permanence of plastic.

Wool and cotton have been relied on for centuries because they feel good against the skin, regulate temperature and last well when cared for. They also return to the earth at the end of their life, breaking down without leaving microplastics behind.

Why wool?

  • Naturally insulating
  • Breathable and comfortable
  • Wind resistant without stiffness
  • Fully biodegradable
  • Softens and shapes to the wearer

Our boiled wool is dense and warm at 380gsm, Oeko-Tex® certified and entirely plastic-free.

Why cotton cambric?
Finished in Britain by British Millerain, cambric offers soft, natural drape with light water resistance — practical, breathable and quietly protective.

Why oilskin?
Waxed cotton has a long history in British outdoor clothing. It’s durable, wind resistant and naturally water-resistant, softening beautifully over time.

Natural fibres don’t imitate nature — they are nature.
They work with your body, respond to the weather, and far less of the environmental weight of synthetic clothing.
